Currently an interior designer, Kaja Gam (born 1952) has had a varied career as a choreographer, performance artist, filmmaker, and the artistic director of the Awkward Dance Company, as well as a founding member of another company, the School of Hard Knocks. Born in Denmark, Gam moved to New York in 1980, and soon after formed the Awkward Dance Company.
